Martin Senft is the Head of Product and Project Management in the Digital Administration division at the Public Sector Data Processing Agency in Bavaria (AKDB). In this role, he plays a key role in developing the “Nutzerkonto Bund” (Federal User Account), a central digital identity for citizens and organizations in Germany. This account serves as a core service for numerous online procedures and enables secure online authentication and identification. Under his leadership, the “Nutzerkonto Bund” was introduced in 2019 and continuously expanded. A major milestone was meeting the eIDAS requirements in January 2021, allowing EU citizens to access German administrative services for the first time.
Furthermore, Martin Senft is a project manager for further developments of the “Nutzerkonto Bund” at AKDB. He emphasizes the importance of eIDAS compliance, as it significantly broadens the “Nutzerkonto Bund” target group and makes German administrative services accessible to all EU citizens. His expertise and commitment are key in driving the digitization of public administration in Germany and promoting interoperability between EU member states.
