The four guiding principles of a healthy #DevOps culture Tech giants have shown that happy users are the most important assets of a successful company. People have grown used to having easy-to-use services and everything accessible at their fingertips. Most importantly, users have learned to demand better services. Organizations that produce suboptimal services or a clunky user experience are doomed to fail in the long term. If you aren’t able to collect feedback from your users and act on that information, you won’t survive. The same applies to your employees. After all, your developers are users of your internal services and are directly exposed to the culture you present them. In his blog post, Marko Klemetti (CTO of Eficode) highlights the four key principles of a healthy DevOps culture that will make your users and developers happier and more engaged. https://efcd.co/3WOlaoN

How a major organizational shift initiated a DevOps transformation at Daimler Truck In 2022, the world's largest truck and bus manufacturer was spun off from Mercedes-Benz as Daimler Truck AG. This shift allowed for a modern development environment, bringing #DeveloperExperience and #DevOps culture into the spotlight. Ultimately, a unified developer platform, The Truck Toolchain (T3), was introduced to enable a healthy Developer Experience and prepare for upcoming technical innovations, including new GenAI-based tooling. At the #EnterpriseTechLeadershipSummit event earlier this month, Marko Klemetti (CTO of Eficode) sat down with Michael Vormittag (Head of SAP Delivery, Architecture, Analytics, and CTO Office at Daimler Truck) to share the journey of carving out an enormous business, including the R&D and all developer tooling. Scaling into the program layer (Part 2) In a series focused on essential #Agile practices that help you scale Agility through the three layers of an enterprise, Chris Gargiulo explores the program layer, or “team of teams” layer, where work is organized and planned. Learn how these key practices provide guidance and direction to the different teams and start connecting portfolio layer priorities to the execution of work. Achieving closer alignment between #portfoliomanagement decision-making and the work teams deliver every sprint is why scaling #Agility is so important. Read more below: https://efcd.co/4bd4uvD

Transforming software development with #AI and #DevOps Almost half of the code written on GitHub today is AI-generated with the help of Copilot. As the most widely used AI developer tool globally, it has been adopted by tens of thousands of organizations and over a million developers. When we consider the gains—improved efficiency, productivity, and faster delivery, to name a few—it’s easy to see why. So, how does DevOps support the use of AI? Integrating DevOps and AI can lead to transformative outcomes. DevOps plays a critical role in increasing the pace of development without compromising software quality, security, or reliability. Without DevOps practices, the rapid rate of AI-assisted development could lead to more manual tasks in different backlogs, such as testing, integration, security reviews, and deployment. DevOps acts as a safety net for modern software development as it secures quality and compliance so that speed benefits are felt. The faster software is delivered, the sooner businesses can gain a competitive edge by being the first to market with new products and features. Find out more on our page: https://efcd.co/44N5cxr

Transitioning from a project to a #product-focused business Having a project mindset makes it easier for you to please your customers. It takes a personal approach, and you're more likely to factor in processes and techniques involved in controlling costs and managing schedules throughout the project lifecycle, meaning you'll stay within the schedule and budget of your client. The challenge of the #project operating model comes with growth, e.g., when business leaders seek new ways to standardize and deliver a product to many customers. A project-based business is always scaled according to the number of skilled people on board. Once you have standardized your service into a product, you quickly realize you are competing with a new set of players. Find out more in Arto Kiiskinen’s blog post below: https://efcd.co/4aij8QW
