Dr. Fei-Fei Li
Wired Magazine called Artificial Intelligence Expert and renowned ‘Godmother of AI,’ Dr. Fei-Fei Li, “one of a tiny group of scientists — a group perhaps small enough to fit around a kitchen table — who are responsible for AI’s recent remarkable advances.”
Dr. Li is the inaugural Sequoia Professor in the Computer Science Department at Stanford University and Co-Director of Stanford’s Human-Centered AI Institute. Dr. Li is the inventor of ImageNet and the ImageNet Challenge, a critical large-scale dataset and benchmarking effort that has contributed to the latest developments in deep learning and AI.
Dr. Li has been working with policymakers to ensure the responsible use of technologies, including a congressional testimony on the responsibility of AI, and is a member of the National Artificial Intelligence Research Resource Task Force (NAIRR) for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) in 2021-2022.
Her memoir The Worlds I See was published in November 2023.
