Jovana is a Software Engineer and a Technical Evangelist with a strong background in performance & scalability, DevOps, and platform engineering. At Atlassian, she played a key role in optimising Jira for large enterprise migrations, enhancing performance and scalability for major cloud tenants.
Later, she joined the cloud infrastructure team, focusing on scaling internal platform services and improving their reliability and security. She now focuses on driving adoption of AI in the SDLC.
Recognised for her contributions, she was a finalist for Software Engineer of the Year at the 2022 Australia Women in Digital Awards, a finalist for Developer category for the Women Leading Tech Awards in 2025, and a finalist for Marketing category for the Women Leading Tech Awards in 2026.
She continues to mentor junior engineers internally at Atlassian and externally through lectures and panels, and she passionately advocates for continuous innovation by organising global hackathons at Atlassian.
