Ed is a Customer Engineer in the Google Cloud team. He is a passionate machine learning engineer that enjoys designing and deploying machine learning systems on cloud and edge. He currently focuses on supporting enterprises transitioning proof of concept machine learning projects into production systems. 

Ed has led ML teams to deliver computer vision, natural language processing, forecasting and ML engineering projects in the logistics, financial services, construction and government sectors. He uses this experience to help Google Cloud customers avoid pitfalls and succeed in their ML (and GenAI) aspirations. Ed recently completed a Masters Thesis in Computer Vision with Google DeepMind team on Continual Video Learning.

Prior to Google, Ed’s background was in R&D in Defence. He worked on challenging problems like hovering rockets, radar object tracking, image processing, and landing drones autonomously. On the weekends Ed enjoys pottery, tennis and helping on the family farm.
