Forge app development at Mercedes-Benz for feature rollout planning
As Mercedes‑Benz evolves into a software‑defined company, feature rollouts are no longer isolated release activities. They are complex, cross‑team coordination challenges spanning planning, dependencies, governance, and execution. While the Atlassian ecosystem provides a strong foundation for collaboration and traceability, real-world rollout planning often requires additional, tailored workflows that go beyond standard tooling.
In this lightning talk, we demonstrate how we leverage the Atlassian Forge platform to build custom applications that seamlessly integrate into Jira and Confluence,
enabling structured, traceable, and repeatable feature rollout planning. We will showcase how a Forge app can bridge the gap between feature definition and rollout execution:
capturing dependencies, automating artefacts, and improving visibility across teams.
This session is aimed at developers building on the Atlassian platform who want to understand how Forge can be used pragmatically in enterprise environments to solve real coordination challenges and accelerate delivery.
