The Call for Proposals for Team '27 opens October 7, 2026 (07:00 AM PT) and closes November 4, 2026 (11:59 PM PT). Submissions will be reviewed November-December 2026, and you'll hear back in January 2027 when we share an early look at the Team '27 agenda in January 2027 (with more sessions added over time). Team '27 takes place April 20-22, 2027 in San Francisco, CA (and online).

If you’re selected to speak, you’ll receive a complimentary full conference pass. However, travel and hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the speaker.

If you are a current Atlassian employee, please refer to internal staffing guidelines.

If accepted, you will have the opportunity to deliver your unique story to a wide audience and connect with your peers on a new level. Additionally, all accepted speakers receive a complimentary pass to attend the event and are assigned a dedicated session lead from Atlassian. Your session lead will partner with you throughout the preparation process, offering guidance and feedback to enhance your final presentation. We’ll also be offering virtual sessions with a speaker coach and a robust speaker resource center.

During the Call for Proposals, you as the submitter will select which of the proposed formats (breakout, panel, lightning talk) best aligns with your content.

Please note: The session type selected during the submission process serves as a proposed selection, indicating the ideal duration and format for your content. Should your submission be accepted for the event, Atlassian reserves the right to adjust your content to an alternative duration or format that better aligns with the overall event agenda. This ensures optimal scheduling and content delivery for all attendees.

Yes, if you’re selected to speak at Team ’27, you won’t be on your own! Atlassian will pair you with a dedicated session lead/partner and provide access to a speaker resource center to help shape your content, refine your narrative, and prepare for a strong presentation.

No. The session type you select is a proposed choice that indicates your preferred duration and format. If your submission is accepted, Atlassian may adjust the duration or format to better fit the overall event agenda. This flexibility helps optimize scheduling and deliver the best possible experience for all attendees.

During submission, you’ll provide your session title, abstract, and speaker details, plus information that helps attendees choose sessions: the Atlassian products/solutions you’ll cover, the intended audience, and the learning level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced). If your session includes a customer speaker, please include their name, title, company, and email so their participation can be reviewed.

To increase your chances, focus on a real customer story with clear, practical takeaways. Strong proposals are specific about the challenge, the solution, and the impact for attendees.

Please note that selection is highly competitive and not guaranteed.

The most helpful supporting materials give reviewers a clear sense of your story, speaking style, and the impact for attendees. Strong examples include:

  • A 3–5 minute video of you (or your speaker) walking through the proposed talk track
  • A clip from a previous speaking engagement
  • Additional written context that goes deeper on the customer story or solution
  • A published customer story or case study
  • A relevant white paper or similar asset

You can upload up to three supporting documents. Please make sure any links or files you share have the correct access permissions so our review team can view them.

A strong proposal clearly states the problem or opportunity, tells a concrete, customer-focused story, and highlights specific, practical takeaways for attendees. We’ve pulled together examples that show what we’re looking for in successful submissions here. Adding extra resources, like a short Loom video or links to supporting documents, can also strengthen your submission by adding clarity and depth.

Submissions that are service and product pitches will not be accepted. If you're interested in marketing your solutions, please email sponsorship@atlassian.com.

Absolutely! Every year we receive so many great submissions and are only able to accept a very limited number for the event agenda. We would love the opportunity to showcase the amazing content in our future events, webinars, or blog posts.

If you’re interested in delivering your presentation in another format, or being a part of a future marketing campaign, please be sure to check this box in the submission form.

Yes, but you will need to have all of the speaker’s information, including their email address, to submit the session. If you are submitting on behalf of a customer, the following criteria must be met:

  • The customer must be informed that they are being included in a proposed session for Team ’27.
  • The customer must confirm that, if selected, they would be willing to travel, at their own expense, to the event in San Francisco, CA April 20-22, 2027.
  • The customer’s name, company, and contact information must be included in the submission to be considered. Any submissions that do not provide this information risk being automatically declined.

Yes. You’re welcome to submit multiple proposals. For each submission, please clearly indicate who you’re submitting on behalf of (yourself, a colleague, a customer, or a partner) and include up-to-date contact information for the primary speaker. This helps our review team track and follow up on each proposal accurately.

Yes. Both Atlassian partners and customers are welcome to submit speaking proposals.

If you’re an Atlassian partner and want to highlight your partnership with Atlassian, we strongly encourage you to include a customer co‑speaker in your proposal.

If your organization is both an Atlassian partner and an Atlassian customer, or if you’ll be speaking primarily from a customer point of view, please clearly indicate this in your submission so our review team can evaluate it appropriately.

For Team ’27, speaker limits vary by format to keep sessions focused and engaging:

  • Breakouts: 1 Atlassian speaker or 1 non‑Atlassian speaker, with the opportunity to have 1 of each for narrative enhancement
  • Panels: 2–3 customer speakers plus 1 Atlassian moderator
  • Lightning talks: 1 customer or Atlassian speaker

These limits help ensure a clear story, balanced perspectives and a great experience for attendees.

If you’re selected to speak, you must be available onsite for all three days of the conference and able to present in person. Individual session dates and times will be assigned and confirmed closer to the event.

Yes. If selected, all speakers external to Atlassian must consent to the presenter consent form included in the Speaker Resource Center.

If, after reviewing the form, your organization would like to request changes, please work with your dedicated Atlassian partner. All requested changes require approval from Atlassian legal.

If you are experiencing any issues, please submit a request through our support form here.
