Delmer Goode Oral History Interview, July 12, 1979 [5 of 7]
Delmer Goode first joined the Oregon Agricultural College faculty in 1919 as an assistant editor in the Publications department, where he would eventually become director. In addition to his responsibilities in Publications, Goode served as the first Secretary of the OSC Faculty Senate and oversaw a variety of graduate programs that intersected with college and university education. Once he officially left the Publications department, Goode continued to work with graduate students interested in college and university education. He officially retired from OSU in 1978 at the age of 89.  Goode remained a part of OSU until he formally retired in 1978 at the age of 89.In this, the fifth of seven interviews, Goode discusses his marriage and family life, his graduate thesis, Oregon State College during the years of World War II, and his experience of having friends pass away.Interview conducted by Jennifer Lee for the Horner Museum Oral History Collection (OH 10), Special Collections and Archives Research Center, Oregon State University Libraries.
